As salaatu was salaamu alaika Ya Saiyadi Ya Habibi Ya Rasoolallah sallallahu alaihi wasallam

…..Benefits of greeting a Muslim….

Except Islam there is no other religion in world which has a beautiful and a meaningful way of greeting each other.
A sahabi came to Masjid-e-Nabavi and greeted Prophet Muhammad Mustafa Sallallahu alaihi wasallam “As salaamu alaikum”, Prophet Muhammad Sallallahu alaihi wasallam replied the greeting and said this person is entitled of 10 rewards. Next came a Sahabi who greeted Prophet Muhammad Sallallahu alaihi wasallam “As salaamu alaikum wa rahmatullah”, Prophet Muhammad Sallallahu alaihi wasallam replied and said this person is entitled of 20 rewards. Another Sahabi entered and greeted “As salaamu alaikum wa rahmatullahi wa Barakatuhu”, Prophet Muhammad Sallallahu alaihi wasallam replied and said this person is entitled of 30 rewards.
In another narration  a sahabi entered the Masjid-e-Nabavi and greeted Prophet Muhammad Mustafa Sallallahu alaihi wasallam “As salaamu alaikum wa rahmatullahi wa Barakatuhu wa Mughfiratuhu”, Prophet Muhammad Sallallahu alaihi wasallam replied and said this person is entitled of 40 rewards.

Some narrations state that Sahaba e Ikram frequently visited the Market place not to shop instead only to greet other Muslims and gain the rewards.

Greetings for Non- Muslims :
Muslims are not supposed to greet the non-Muslims but when they greet us then the response to a Non-Muslim should be “Hadakallah” meaning “May Allah Subhanahutaala show you the right path”.

Greetings to be avoided :
It is noticed nowadays people frequently use words like Saam alaikum, walaikum as saam, etc… Let’s see what does these greeting actually mean.
It is mentioned in of the narrations of Bukhari Sharif that Black Seeds(Kalonji) has the cure for all ailments except Saam. Sahaba e Ikram asked Prophet Muhammad Sallallahu alaihi wasallam what does Saam mean Prophet Muhammad Sallallahu alaihi wasallam replied Saam means Death.

Greeting
Meaning
Saam alaikum
May Allah give you death
Walaikum as salaam
May Allah also give you death as well.

How much ever a person might be busy but when you greet another Muslim or any person make sure you pronounce the words correctly because instead of greeting someone your words would land up cursing the other person.
“As salaamu alaikum wa rahmatullahi wa Barakatuhu” is the most recommended greeting by the Ulama e Ikram.
Imagine if a Person greets at least 10 people with the above greeting in a day he is entitled for 300 rewards/day. He is getting this reward without wasting his time energy or any hard work.

Insha-Allah let us try and greet as much as Muslims possible and get rewarded by Allah Subhanahutaala.

Do remember the whole Ummat e Muhammadiya in your prayers and pray for the Mughfirath of all.
